Alicante Futura and the Professional Association of Architects will collaborate to contribute to the economic and social development of the city of Alicante.

The Councillor for Employment and Development, Mari Carmen de España, and the President of the association, Emilio Vicedo, formalise the cooperation agreement. 

Alicante, 23 of may of 2022.- Alicante Futura and the Professional Association of Architects of Alicante, have signed a collaboration agreement with which they undertake to promote actions and programs of common interest that contribute to the economic and social development of the city of Alicante. The signing took place today at the headquarters of the CTAA (Territorial College of Architects) by the Councillor for Employment and Development, Mari Carmen de España and the President of the CTAA, Emilio Vicedo.

“All the actions that are going to be carried out will be implemented through a strategy that promotes and canalises the alliances and initiatives of the different cultural, economic and social agents in order to achieve the technological, digital and innovation cluster of Alicante Futura”, emphasises the councillor Mari Carmen de España.

Both the CTAA, from its work in the defence and promotion of the interests of the provincial group of architects and Alicante Futura, which is committed to the technological and digital capital of the city, assume the commitment and joint action plan to enhance the image and competitiveness of Alicante as a hub of reference in the field of the new urban economy, sealing this alliance that seeks a common interest: to boost the socio-economic development of the city while generating opportunities for the sector of architecture and urban planning in Alicante. 

“Thanks to this agreement, we will promote actions focused on the new challenges established by the 2030 Agenda, leading SMEs, self-employed and productive sectors in order to achieve a more sustainable and fair society”, explains the president of the CTAA, Emilio Vicedo.

In this way, both entities will work by sharing their spaces, initiatives and programs of joint interest aimed at the diversification of the productive model of Alicante, the incorporation of the technological and digital vision to the day to day of the architect’s profession as well as the progress in terms of sustainability, requalification of public spaces and attractiveness of the city of Alicante.
