THE CITY COUNCIL AND LA CAIXA TO COLLABORATE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ALICANTE FUTURA

The mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, has held a meeting with Francisco Adam, director of institutional relations of La Caixa.

The City Council and La Caixa have met with the aim of developing joint initiatives in training and innovative entrepreneurship within the framework of the Alicante Futura municipal digital strategy, as well as attracting technological events to the city. Barcala took the opportunity to invite Adam to join the Advisory Board on behalf of the bank. Both have committed to developing a collaboration program for the current semester.

The meeting was also attended by the rector of the University of Alicante, Amparo Navarro, due to the joint interest in generating synergies in this field with the Science Park, which is one of the spaces for the development of technology-based companies, and which is aligned with the digital strategy of Alicante Futura.

Also present were the councillor for Employment and Development, Mari Carmen de España, responsible for the Local Development Agency ‘Impulsalicante’ and the development of the Alicante Futura digital strategy, the president of Alicantec, Andrés Pedreño, promoter of the Torre Juana hub and the Alicante lawyer Luis Corno, the territorial director of La Caixa, José Antonio Sendra, together with other officials and collaborators from the participating institutions and entities.
