The Councilor for Employment and Promotion of the City of Alicante, Mari Carmen de España, described this meeting as an action that gives visibility to a very dynamic sector “leading in technological development”, highlighting the importance of promoting and connecting local talent in the field of gaming with the work being developed from Alicante Futura, a strategy designed and developed to provide opportunities for our young people and entrepreneurs.

The conference addressed the influence of Artificial Intelligence in the gaming industry and the new approaches, profiles and opportunities linked to digital leisure, health, education and entertainment, with special emphasis on the role of the Mediterranean ecosystem in this sector in which “Alicante is working to become a benchmark”.

On the other hand, Barcala highlighted “the importance of strengthening the lines of collaboration with companies in the gaming sector to help them carry out their projects and facilitate the training of tailor-made personnel to promote the creation of quality employment and the attraction of talent. We continue to work to promote the employability of young people and the attraction of talent with the development of the municipal digital strategy Alicante Futura”.

At the meeting, which brought together in the same space companies and personalities from the digital world, the current situation of the industry was presented, analyzing its strengths and weaknesses and raising, in turn, real prospects for future development. All this in a context where generative artificial intelligence is transforming this sector.

“Around the gamer world revolves an increasingly powerful industry and Alicante is not going to be left behind. Our capital has talent, projects and solid alliances between leading players in the sector, therefore, from the City Council of Alicante we are working in a committed way to make them consolidate and expand, promoting, without complexes, the Made in Alicante”, concluded Mari Carmen de España.
