ALICANTE FUTURA BRINGS ROBOTICS CLOSER TO CHILDREN WITH THE III ROBOTIKIDS CUP

Yesterday we presented the III Robotikids Cup Alicante Futura. The new edition of the Robotikids Cup and the first in which Alicante Futura participates.

The presentation was attended by Mari Carmen de España, councillor for Employment and Development of the City of Alicante and the co-founders of Robotikids, Eva Camus and Charles Prieto.

They announced the details of the event, which will take place on June 10 at the Centro de Tecnificación de Alicante. It will bring together students from more than 100 schools and academies in the province of Alicante who have participated during the course in Robotikids workshops and extracurricular activities, who will participate in the robotics exhibition and competition.

During the presentation, the dynamics of the event were announced, which will bring together more than 500 children from 3 to 14 years old where, through teams by age, they will design robots that will then participate in the different competitions. “Together with Alicante Futura we are betting on talent by creating a quarry to empower through technology a generation that will continue to drive the changes and transformation of digital society,” say Eva Camus and Charles Prieto, co-founders of Robotikids.

The III Robotikids Alicante Futura Cup will also have a robotics and fine motor skills exhibition area for the youngest and competitions divided into three categories:

  • Nanobots, where there will be: robot races, Robot pilla pilla and constructions.
  • Bytebots, where there is the “piece collector” activity.
  • Megabots, the category for older participants, where there will be Robot Tag and Robot Battle.

All these activities will test the concepts and skills of the students obtained during the Alicante Futura and Robotikids workshops: “The III Alicante Futura Robotikids Cup is an excellent opportunity for children to develop skills in science and technology, as well as to encourage their creativity, teamwork and problem solving. From Alicante Futura we will continue to carry out initiatives that promote and encourage technological learning and talent made by Alicante,” said the Councilor for Employment and Development of the City of Alicante, Mari Carmen de España.
