JUAN PARRA, MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR IBERIA OF DXC TECHNOLOGY, NEW MEMBER OF ALICANTE FUTURA’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The municipal strategy of Alicante Futura has recently appointed a new member to its advisory committee. On this occasion, it has been the CEO for Iberia of DXC Technology, Juan Parra, who joins the business ecosystem that Alicante Futura, established as one of the most powerful assets in terms of relational capital and possibilities of global prescription of the municipal strategy. With this incorporation, Alicante Futura continues to increase its group of prominent personalities from the Alicante business sector, which already includes figures such as Andrés Pedreño, Nuria Oliver, Gianni Cecchin, Juan Pedro Moreno, Andrés Antón, José F. Trigueros and Victoria Majadas, among others.


After the visit carried out last March 28th by the Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala and the Councilor for Employment and Promotion, Mari Carmen de España to the facilities of the advanced center DXC Technology and as a sign of the commitment of the city council with the digital and innovative development of the city, Alicante Futura has recently appointed a new member in its advisory committee. On this occasion, it is Juan Parra, CEO for Iberia of DXC Technology who has developed his entire professional career in large technology multinationals such as Vodafone and HP Spain and Latin America.


During the visit to the DXC facilities, Luis Barcala, highlighted the importance of attracting “large innovative companies linked to digital and technological development, such as DXC, as they generate quality jobs and represent a new opportunity for many young people and professionals”. Likewise, to carry out this work, he stressed the need to have the advice of “executives at the head of these companies is necessary to improve our actions and public policies, in order to ensure that the number of technology companies that decide to settle in Alicante is increasing”.


For his part, Juan Parra also praised Alicante Futura as a driving force in the advancement and development of digital initiatives that position the city as a benchmark in digital and technological matters. “I am very honored and happy to be part of the advisory committee of Alicante Futura, a strategic initiative that is linked to the field of innovation and the digital revolution to which I can bring all the experience and knowledge acquired at the head of a company that is a technological leader worldwide,” added Juan Parra.


Likewise, the Councilor for Employment and Promotion of the Alicante City Council, Mari Carmen de España, explained to all those present that the committee “represents one of the most powerful assets of the strategy in terms of relational capital and possibilities of global prescription of the municipal strategic initiative. Its dynamism, linkage to the strategy and the renewal of its commitment to Alicante Futura are essential for the validity and projection of the project, as well as being a key factor in its success.
